Where does Inspector Outlet ship?

We currently ship everywhere in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Canada. We do have the ability to ship outside of these areas, but our website is not currently set up to handle shipping calculations for those orders. Please email us at our Contact Us page below for a quote and availability to other international addresses.

How Much Does Shipping Cost?

We ship all orders via FedEx or the United States Postal Service Priority Mail. Some products that are drop shipped from third party vendors may ship via UPS, DHL, or other services, and we do not have any control over that. There is a shipping calculator at the bottom of your cart page to estimate shipping based on your location and the weight of your order.

What about international shipping?

We offer both USPS International and FedEx International shipping. These rates can be calculated on our shipping calculator in the cart. Shipping rates exclude all duties and taxes, which may be due upon delivery.

When exactly will I receive my order?

Most products that are in stock at our warehouse will ship out within 24-48 hours, Monday through Thursday, 9-4 Mountain Time. We are located in Colorado, and the speed of your order delivery will depend on your location and the shipping type that you chose at checkout. Some products on our website, like the "Now That You've Had a Home Inspection" books, ship via a flat rate shipping option, which is clarified on each product page. Those products will be shipping by themselves, and separately from other products on your order.

Our warehouse team does not work on weekends and national holidays, so orders placed on those days will be processed the following business day. We're a small company, and during busy times, your order may end up taking longer than 48 hours to process and ship. Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

Yes, but only if you choose a USPS shipping option at checkout, AND your order doesn't contain any flat rate shipping products that ship via FedEx, AND your order doesn't contain any products that are drop shipped from third party vendors who may ship your product via UPS or another carrier other than USPS.

We STRONGLY recommend not using a PO box to accept your order.

The US Post Office will not accept shipments from carriers other than USPS, and your order will likely not be delivered. We cannot assist with these issues, and you will need to contact the carrier directly if you run into this issue.

What if I have an international return?

Unfortunately due to complex global tariff system all international orders are final and are not eligible for return. If you live internationally and feel you have extenuating circumstances for a return, please email us at our Contact US page below.

Can I return a gift card?

Physical and e-gift cards are not refundable and cannot be changed or canceled. Might we suggest re-gifting? Please see more details in our Refund Policy below.

Can I cancel or change an order after I've placed it?

In most cases, no. Our shipping department works quickly to get your order shipped out, and there is a very small window between when your order is placed, and your order is shipped out. This is not the case for all orders though, so if you need to make a change or cancellation before your order has shipped, please email us at our Contact Us page below and we will see what we can do, but we cannot guarantee it.

Do I have to sign for my order upon delivery? 

Some orders, including most FLIR products and orders over $200 in value, will ship with a signature requirement. This is to make sure that expensive items are delivered to an actual person, and not just left on a doorstep. If you have an issue with this, we do offer an option called FedEx Hold At Location, in which your package will be delivered to a FedEx location, a Walgreens, or some grocery stores, where you can then pick up your package in person with your ID.

How long will it take to process my return or exchange?

We try to process returns as quickly as possible but at peak times it can take up to 3 weeks from us receiving your return parcel.
